Legion plans for Avenue of Flags program

Each year at the Memorial Day program, the Albert E. Hoschler American Legion Post 186
dedicates flags from late veterans into the Post’s Avenue of Flags.
While families still own the dedicated flags, they are stored at the American Legion flag building
and are posted in Riverside Cemetery on each Memorial Day, weather permitting.
As of this year, there are 517 veterans represented in the Avenue of Flags, and that number
grows each year.

Supervisors increase compensation for election officials
