You couldn’t ask for much more from the A-W cross country team as they took part in the Kingsley-Pierson Invitational on October 7.

Westerners to host Wildcats for Homecoming

 

After back-to-back losses the Akron-Westfield football will have to play one of their best games of the year as they host 8th ranked Woodbury Central for Homecoming on Friday night.

A-W drops district game at IKM-Manning

 

The Akron-Westfield football team faced a pivotal road battle against IKM-Manning on September 26. The Westerners (2-0 in district), along with Woodbury Central (3-0) and St. Albert (2-0), were unbeaten in District A-8 and had a chance to put themselves in great position for a spot in the state playoffs with a win over the Wolves.

Utesch, Small lead A-W cross country

 

Archer Small and Isabella Utesch led the way for the Akron-Westfield cross country teams in the Alcester-Hudson Invitational. Small finished 27th with a time of 21:31.10 and Teygan Schram was 54th with a time of 27:05.01.

A-W volleyball battles top teams in conference 

 

It shaped up as a tough and busy week for the Akron-Westfield volleyball team (4-5, 2-2) as they had to take on the top two teams in the War Eagle conference.

First up, a home match against George-Little Rock. The Mustangs were unbeaten in the conference with a 5-0 record and were 10-4 overall.
