Ninth St. Gayland & Selma Small, 1060 Mason Court Akron Area Museum 601 Main Street Following are the hours in which the Akron Area Museum will be open: 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. - Friday, June 25 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Saturday, June 26 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. - Sunday, June 27 Tour the museum at your leisure. View the old Akron Savings Bank teller windows along with old bank records. You will also want to see the local barn display and Akron and Westfield historical displays. The Akron Historical Society is selling 60 school trophies, from 1933 to 2005 girls’ and boys’ basketball, track, baseball, dramas, etc. These trophies were on display at the school, which no longer had room for them, and the museum does not either. Akron Opera House 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. 131 Reed St. Tour the 100-year-old theater building, which has undergone renovations the past few years, including new seating, sound and lights, stage curtains and handicap accessibility.
